Title: Scared Rider Xechs + FD Portable スカーレッドライダーゼクス + FDポータブル
Console: PSP
Genre: Otome
Language: Japanese
Company: Red Entertainment, Rejet
Summary: I was going through the site when this was still PS2 only, and I was sooo excited for it…! The music and character songs only added to the excitement, because those character songs are really addicting.
But after years long wait for a PSP version and playing it, I’m not even motivated enough to finish the story after making it up to episode 6 or so. It got so repetitive, boring and aimless to me, I just can’t.
If someone wants to convince me otherwise, by all means try, but until then I’m just going to put this one into the tossbin.

Overall: 6. After being spoiled with the character offerings from Fire Emblem 7 and the other GBA games, this was quite a turn backward for me. I especially don’t appreciate the lack of availability of the characters (many of the useful characters will be unavailable for dispatch for like half of the entire game), and without a guide, it becomes an ultimate chore to pull through. I don’t really care about the continuing story from the Gamecube game. It just wasn’t that fun.

Title: Pokemon Black/White
Console: NDS
Genre: RPG
Language: Japanese
Company: Nintendo
Summary: You know the drill by now. Seems they’re adding quite a few features to the gameplay this round that I can perhaps put some expectations on. At least enough for famitsu to give it a 40/40.

I’ve now beaten the champion and opened access to the full Pokedex. But…

Title: Star Ocean: The Last Hope International
Console: PS3
Genre: Action RPG
Language: Japanese/English audio, multi-language text
Company: Square Enix/tri-Ace
Summary: The least favorite of the RPGs I’ve played on the PS3 right now. I can’t see why someone could be so obsessed about this game to buy four copies of it for the sake of the collection (the two Xbox versions and the two PS3 versions). Right now, I’m just glad I waited to spend only $30 including shipping on this game instead of $50-55 as it is usually priced as of this post. Eternal Sonata is the same price ($30) REGULARLY and MUCH more worth the money imo. FF13 and Vesperia were in the 50’s price range and worth it. In the end, I traded the game back in and lost 8 bucks and some 18 hours of gameplay time, since I can’t see myself finding any value in keeping it anyway.
