Summary: Doing a proper playthrough for Tellius after my ignoramus runthrough back in 2010. Naturally, enjoying it a lot more this time!

Overall: 9/10.
I probably shouldn’t lump these together as there are some things that are VASTLY different between the titles, at least in terms of difficulty. In short, Path of Radiance is pretty well balanced while Radiant Dawn is pretty unfair and HARD sometimes for no good reasons. However, I used strategy guides off Gamefaqs for my playthroughs, so I was able to see what I needed to do before going into each chapter, which was honestly quite enough to make any difficulty spikes a non-issue. A new player or someone playing blindly could easily end up soft-blocked in Radiant Dawn, and that’s never good game design or experience.

Things I enjoyed:
-The challenge of not having grind stages available to me (as they had in Sacred Stones), instead relying on each story map.
-Good length!! Four massive story parts and being involved in two “parties” really expanded the world for me here.

Things I did not enjoy:
-Stat requirements to even survive certain battles. Lost Haar in the endgame part 4 from a full map AOE due to his low res.
-Reinforcement flooding on certain stages. Lost one of the wheelchair beast units in part 4 because of the reinforcements being unavoidable.

more later!
