Overall: 10. Do I really need to justify this score for such a beautiful piece in the gaming world??…

My PERSONAL comfort-level list.
BIG HEAVY NOTE: This is in the order that I feel comfortable playing as and is CONSTANTLY EVOLVING w, and is in NO WAY an actual tier list like real meta players try to make. Cuz tiers

1. Lucario (it took a long way to get up here but I can say this is a pure consistent nowadays)
2. Yoshi/Pikachu (my Yoshi seems to be a lot more consistent than my Pika though)
3. Greninja, Kirby
4. Charizard, Mewtwo
5. King Dedede, Pac-Man
6. Everyone else (Jigglypuffffff… humans, they exist in this game? Okay really though, I guess I kind of like playing Robin, at least in a doubles match. Apparently I can be a decent Toon Link lulz. Cloud is pure easy mode. After watching Ranai’s Villager, that’s been pretty fun, just need more practice. FE folks are all pretty fun in general once in a while. Corrin’s getting up there. Peach is okay.)

Pikachu and Yoshi are often competing for #1 on my list. I have a harder time making the final kill with Pikachu, but Yoshi has some really bad match-ups which I haven’t figured out for myself yet (basically vs campers though). So being able to use the both of them helps me.

Other thoughts: I haven’t played Smash much since the N64 game, seriously. There was a LOT of technical catching up I had to do since I didn’t play the Gamecube/Wii games much. My old habits don’t recognize the existence of sideB and back-air, TILTS, wall jumps, etc and it’s been hard getting used to things like that.

Yoshi is DIFFICULT to control, but over time and lots of practice I’ve gotten more comfortable with him. Not much change from all the way back to N64 version really helps.

As for my personal tier list based on meta tourneys and such (not my personal experiences overall):

Order is VERY loosely organized

Old thoughts:
I find it a little sad there have been people buying trial play codes for the US version on ebay for like 50 bucks… when I’m here playing the full Japanese e-shop download for the same amount. XD;
