Gameplay: I love the new minigames that were implemented as part of the training process. The slingshot, sandboard, and running around that board… they’re all fun. Looks like they probably got the idea from the fun Wii Strikers minigames. It’s always fun being able to use those thousands of 3d character models for more things other than running around maps and playing soccer.
Changes from Chrono Stone:
-Chibi 3d models are used for player match-ups instead of the full 3d models. When a player is up against more than one player, all the players involved show up now. While the constant switch from the chibi to full models is aethestically awkward, it makes the screen transitions significantly faster, so I’m not really complaining.
-Skipping scenes for the goalkeeper is muuuch faster since there’s no screen in/out in between now. YAY
-Coaches show up on the bottom screen when matches begin. :3
-Auras (Avatars, Mixi-max, Souls) don’t need a separate cut-scene when they disappear. Instead, text on the bottom screen scrolls. Less friendly for the visual people (or people who aren’t fast in reading Japanese), but I totally welcome the less time consumption in general.
-BUILT-IN SCREENCAPPING. Only during hissatsu/aura power in soccer battles/matches, and only 10 per battle/match, but better than nothing. It’s a start…

Replay Value:
Overall: 10!!!! Needs more bump.

Differences from anime:
-Ep 1+2: Manabe’s stolen wallet incident is “solved” in Inalink
-Ep 2: Konoha talks to a bird instead of a cat. Manabe calculates the size of the aquarium in Mermaid Hall. Minaho is peoplewatching as usual but this time he’s right. |D

-Ep 8/Anime Ep 30: Ibuki outright says thanks to Shindou in Galaxy Nauts, but Shindou doesn’t hear him properly…
