Summary:
Story: 10. Wow, just wow. This is mostly because of Fubuki for me :D;;;
Characters: 10. Title: Inazuma Eleven 2: Kyoui no Shinryokusha Fire/Blizzard / イナズマイレブン2~脅威の侵略者~ファイア/ブリザード

Summary:
Story: 10. Wow, just wow. :D
Characters: 10.
Graphics: 10. A good blend of 2-d and 3-d. They improved some of the sprites as well. Thank goodness. XD
Sound: 10. Compared to the first game, some tracks have been improved, and with more variety, it doesn’t seem as repetitive anymore.
Gameplay: 9. While there are improvements from the first game that I really appreciate, such as shoots getting stronger the more you use them, and offering other ways to block and do long-distance shoots… the overall gameplay hasn’t changed much. It’s still a match of TP usage in the end and it gets repetitive after a while.
Replay Value: 10. Lotsssss of stuff to do after beating the main story. Mostly tournaments.
Overall: 10.
Differences between anime and DS game (MAJOR SPOILERS):
-Game: Facing off with Burn or Gazel depends on game version, Burn with Fire and Gazel with Blizzard. The Chaos is only if you connect both versions together through the NDS wi-fi.
-Game: Kazemaru gets injured and is forced to leave instead of leaving the team voluntarily. As he’s taken away in the ambulance, the driver grins evilly, foreshadowing the end events.
-Game: Kurimatsu also gets injured and is forced to leave instead of leaving voluntarily. It’s heavily implied that Gran did something to him or something else happened while following Gran’s tracks by himself…….. Scary Gran.
-Game: As a result of the above sequences, there is no can’t-play-soccer-anymore depressed Endou sequence.
-Game: The Okinawa chapter has the most differences in general. In the anime, Gouenji was under Hijikata’s care. In the game, one of the members of Oumihara, Kyan (the small girl with the conch seashell hat), goes around hiding Gouenji from the Raimon Eleven in a lighthouse tower. Gouenji made the connection with her because of his little sister-complex, yuh. Hijikata doesn’t really make much of an appearance in the game. Anyway, the folks at Oumihara start catching on to Kyan sneaking off into the lighthouse tower, and someone gets the freaky idea that she’s getting kidnapped. Tsunami gets really riled up from the possibility and it takes a while for him to cool down about it. XD It’s a good show of his random stubbornness, kind of like when he hassles Kabeyama about their combination hissatsu in 3rd season. Also, at Gouenji’s return, his skin is very obviously tanned and scratched up from all of the intense training he’d been doing by himself in Okinawa. So manly.
-Game: More on Okinawa– the locals express a lot of concern about ominous whirlpools appearing in the sea, making the seas dangerous to approach. That doesn’t stop Tsunami from surfing though. XD After learning that Raimon is looking for the flame striker, the locals suspect the flame striker to be the cause of the whirlpools because they hear the sound of intense soccer ball playing at night. Turns out to be Epsilon training to become Remastered.
-Game: The kids who play around the beach in Okinawa call Tsunami “Tsunami-nii-nii.”
-Game: Megaton Head is handed to you as a teachable hissatsu technique instead of Endou automatically learning it. When I first played the game, I wasn’t quite following the storyline and I gave it to Domon. lol.
-Game: Aphrodi steps in when either Burn or Gazel (depending on version) shows up at Raimon Junior High and violently shoots at the girls. otokomae.~ But instead of Aphrodi joining Raimon temporarily, you have a training match against Zeus. Of course, you can scout him out afterwards anyway, although he’s actually a big pain to get onto your team gameplay-wise.
-Game: Tachimukai almost does Mugen The Hand right from the first try. XD; He had a fast start in the anime too, but it was really zippy in the game. Still, the technique isn’t usable for a good long time.
-Game: No crazy Fubuki/Someoka raburabu scene xD; But Fubuki angsts his lack of being able to play in a more modest fashion (despite the fact that you can keep using him in-game even after he “breaks” XD;;; ). When the gang reaches Mt. Fuji, they have to set up logs to bring the Caravan over a stream, and Fubuki goes “At least that’s something even someone like me can help with…” and it’s VERY cute. ;w; It really shows how conscious he is about wanting to help out in the team effort.
-Game: Fubuki’s fusion scene occurs before the final Genesis match, when he talks to Gouenji about his fears.
-Game: Death Zone 2 and Wolf Legend both show up in the match against the security robots.
-Game: Endou still wears his orange turtleneck under his libero uniform. XD And in the opening video, Tsunami’s Raimon uniform has long-sleeves. Tendency to wear more? Well, there are more subtle details in the game animation in general, like the Raimon jacket having an extra jag in the lightning bolt, and Gouenji’s face marks.
-Game: Hiroto and “Mamoru.”
-Game: After Ulvida’s attack, Hiroto has to get transported to the hospital, so he doesn’t get caught in the Mt. Fuji base collapse.
-Game: Before coming back to Inazuma Town after the whole Aliea fiasco, Aki makes an attempt to confess to Endou. But Kogure and the others interupt. xD Domon even says he tried to stop them from interupting~ And Ichinose stays in the back during this whole scene……….
-Game: The Caravan gang go to the streets for a bit before coming back to Raimon Junior High, and they’re being called heroes who saved the world, with Prime Minister Zaizen talking about them on TV. Some girls stop Kidou and ask him to take his goggles off. and he’s like “O-oi… yose” XD;
-Game: Recruiting Fudou: 「よぉ …雷門イレブンじゃんか。ヘッ オレさまのことを笑いに来たのかよ?」「…このオレさまに力を貸してほしいだって?…マジでいってんのかよ。」””Yes” “Haha! Interesting!” “All right. You won’t regret it.” *joins*
-Game: Furukabu (the guy who drives Inazuma Caravan) is actually in a group of triplets. XD; Not like it makes a difference in the game, but it was amusing.
More later~
Wow, very interesting to read about anime/game changes. Make me want to play it even more….Interested in this “Hiroto and “Mamoru” buisness.
