\nSummary:<\/strong> Thanks to gamefaqs contributors, I started with a New Game+ to save myself a whole ton of grinding. XD; Despite having so many all-star characters to play with, I have a lot more fun playing the PS3 Tales titles, so I really didn’t want to take the time to grind. \nGameplay:<\/strong> Many long-warranted improvements to this third installment of the medley series. You can change your custom character’s class any time on the ship, and through the grade shop you can also recustomize the character altogether. VERY awesome, the one thing I’ve been wanting most out of the series. Some of the battle voices use familiar cast too… XD; Especially after unlocking the full set from the grade shop, you get Sakaguchi Daisuke, Yamaguchi Kappei (Who’s also Tytree), Takemoto Eiji (who plays Raven) using a super silly voice, Chiba Susumu (also another character), and I swear Kusao Takeshi does the last set but I’m not 100% sure.
\nReplay Value:<\/strong>
\nOverall:<\/strong> 8\/10. I can’t see myself giving any score higher no how many characters they had available– the battle system is always the lagging leg of this Radiant Mythology series. Every post-DS\/PSP character is basically watered-down in this game so none of them can shine as well as they do in their original game. Which I suppose what they’re trying to do anyway– you can’t play any of the characters to their full potential unless you play the actual game they’re from. It’s the utter definition of a half-baked battle system in terms of Tales. I doubt they’ll ever take the time to really engineer the awesome parts of every title’s battle system into a RM title, but I would still sure as hell appreciate a better effort to make it so. And it still annoys me to have to ALWAYS have the created character as the party leader. I guess it wouldn’t be so Narikiri if it weren’t the case, but I personally want the option to take it off. Regardless, it’s worth the play to see the interactions among the Tales characters and mix and match around parties. Just the battle system gets REALLY boring after a while, and it doesn’t improve even post-game.<\/p>\n
